MARKETING HITS A NEW LOW WITH SPINNING GOLD TEETH

A couple of months ago, pioneering hip-hop photographer and author Ernie Paniccioli was disgusted when he read that Reverend Run of Run DMC had bought a $100,000 Rolls-Royce, claiming this was what Jesus wanted him to do.

To hammer home his belief that many of today's hip-hop artists have gone way over the top in acquiring meaningless possessions, he issued a satirical press release about the exploits of popular artists. For example, he wrote that 50 Cent had purchased a $450,000 pink Rolls-Royce and that Master P was behind a new line of platinum bathtubs starting at $350,000.
